The sun rises and sets everyday you will live. Connect to the idea of that by practicing a few warm up exercices as a way to feel strong fit and healthy and also as a simple meditation, and an exercise in gratitude: a thankfulness to the sun.
Start each day with a simple wake up call to each joint, muscle and tendon in your body. The sun Salution pictured below is the perfect, complete series.
Initiate each movement with an inhalation and settle into the pose on the exhale. For added meditative quality imagine that the inhale has the sound “so” and the exhale has the sound “hum.”
