Nighty Night Milk Sleep Aid
The perfect sleep-easy assistant. We all need a little sleep aid getting to that restful state and this nourishing, tasty brew works a charm.
You Will Need:
1 cup Almond Milk** or whole Milk (cow’s milk should be brought to frothy state just before a true boil to increase digestibility.)
Pinch of Ginger
Pinch of Nutmeg
3 strands of Saffron
1 tsp fresh honey or to taste (May add smashed dates to the mix for sweetness and nourishment)
(make Almond Milk by soaking 10 almonds overnight, peel them, discard skins, mix in blender with 1 c water then strain by squeezing through Nut Milk Bag. Remains may be spread over a cookie sheet and dried in low temp oven for use as almond meal in baking.
Blend almond milk, spices and saffron and Dates (if using them) and heat in a saucepan. Add the honey. Strain and drink before sleep.
